1. Who We Are
Mewse ("we," "our," or "us") is a hook generation tool for short-form video creators, operated by Polsia Inc., a company registered in the United States. Our service analyzes your ideas and generates engagement-optimized hooks for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form platforms.

2. What We Collect
When you use Mewse, we collect only what we need to run the service:
- Account information — Email address when you sign up or purchase a subscription
- Hook ideas you submit — The text prompts you enter to generate hooks
- Generated hooks — The AI-generated hooks created for your account
- Payment information — Handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or billing details
- Usage data — Page views, feature usage, and general engagement metrics to improve the product (no personally identifiable information linked to this)
- Cookies — Minimal functional cookies for session management and auth (see Cookie Policy below)
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your information to:
- Generate hooks for your submitted ideas using AI (via OpenAI API)
- Store your generated hooks so you can access them in your dashboard
- Process your subscription payments via Stripe
- Send transactional emails (receipts, account notifications)
- Improve our product based on aggregate usage patterns
We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. AI-Generated Content
The hooks Mewse generates are produced by AI (OpenAI models). Your original hook ideas are processed by OpenAI to generate the output. OpenAI may retain API inputs per their Privacy Policy for service improvement purposes — you can opt out by contacting mewse@polsia.app.
You retain full ownership of both your original ideas and the generated hooks. Mewse claims no rights to your content.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- OpenAI — Powers our hook generation AI. OpenAI Privacy Policy

6. Cookies
Mewse uses minimal cookies to maintain your session and authenticate your account. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data and generated hooks for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing mewse@polsia.app. We will delete your data within 30 days of your request.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access — Request a copy of your personal data
- Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion — Request deletion of your account and data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability — Request your data in a machine-readable format
- Opt-out — Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time

9. GDPR (European Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, Mewse processes your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legal basis for processing is:
- Contract performance — Processing your hook generation requests to provide the service you signed up for
- Legitimate interests — Fraud prevention, security, and service improvement
- Consent — Marketing emails (you can withdraw at any time)
You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have violated your GDPR rights.
10. Children's Privacy
Mewse is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. International Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers.
12. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (AES-256) for data at rest and TLS for data in transit. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe and never touches our servers.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Mewse after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
